Hats off to you Seuss!! - Dr. Seuss

Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!!! To celebrate his birthday and reading we did a fun filled week for the whole elementary.  We themed each day with a Dr. Seuss book.
Monday:  Pajama Day!!
Tuesday:  Crazy Socks Day (Fox in Socks)
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday
Below is a picture of some of the teachers and myself (in orange shorts) for Wacky Wednesday.
Thank you Mrs. Ament for taking the picture for us!

Thursday:  Red/White Day - Cat in the Hat  - Since our basketball girls made it to state we didn't have school on this day or get to do this day.  It was a short fun week but totally worth having the day off and for the girls to win state for four years in a row!! Congrats girls!

My camera was MIA (missing in action) at the beginning of the week so I didn't get to take some pictures of the week.  The activities were revolved around a Dr. Seuss book.
Each teacher in the elementary choose a book to decorate their door or bulletin board in the hall for Dr. Seuss.  We choose:  One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.   The preschoolers water colored their fish any way they wanted to.
For our math activity we did some goldfish color sorting, counting and patterning.

On Wacky Wednesday we made green eggs and ham! A lot of the said that they didn't like green eggs and ham and I had one little boy tell me he had it for breakfast.  :) Got to love their stories.  They helped me mix in the green to the ham and eggs and we watched as they started to turn color.  While we were eating our green eggs and ham we watched the short video to go with our book.

Here is one of the art projects we did for Cat in the Hat.  They had to make red and white patterns on their own.  These went in the inside of our door.
