Love was sure in the air during preschool this last week! The preschoolers learned about the letter Vv and the sound while making Valentines all week! We started off the week by gluing Valentines onto a giant V. Hearts were galore in the room and incorporated into our activities. We had heart hunts, did candy heart math where we sorted colors and counted and we also measured hugs using cubes. It was a busy week but short week for the preschoolers.
We water colored white hearts and then painted our red/pink hearts. We glued them together to make some "love bugs."
Another project we did, this one is for our parents was a homemade Valentine! This was a great way to work on those fine motor skills! They turned out very neat and colorful!
The preschoolers had 'homework.' They had to decorate a Valentine's box and bring it to the Valentine exchange. There were some very cute and CREATIVE ones!!
