This week our theme was Under the Sea. I incorporated Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom with this unit because it's a great way to review our letters and coconut trees live around the oceans. The preschoolers had a homework assignment to do. They had to find 5 pictures that began with their first letter of their name.
Here is one of our crafts that we did to go along with our story, Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom.
They had to write their name, count the letters in their name and write the number.
Center time!
Remember the hair that we grew? Here they are! They sure did sprout up!
Like I stated before the preschoolers had to do some 'homework'. We discussed what the pictures were and the letter that they started with. Here is what we did with those pictures!
For our Under the Sea unit, we learned about the different types of animals that live in the ocean, what the water is like and some things that you can find around the ocean. One of our math activities were making octopuses. They had to put numbers 1-8 in order and then place the correct amount of sticker for each leg. For example - number 4 had four stickers.
We then made a letter O octopus. We water colored the letter O and then added 8 streamers for its legs.
