Day and Night

We recently had a theme of day and night.  We focused on 'day' on Monday and  'night' on Wednesday.  We had activities where we spent most of the morning in the dark to get that nightly feeling. 
The letter of the week for our night/day theme was the letter Nn. The shape for the week was a crescent, which fit perfectly with our night theme because of it's shape.  We also learned the number 6 and review colors: black, yellow and white.

Here are the Nightly N's we made.  They turned out very cute!

We also made our moons. They made sure I knew that the moon was not black it was yellow. :)  We painted our moon black so our glitter names would be more recognizable.  We made name moons which they placed stick on letters to their name.  They had to count how many letters are in their name and named the colors of the letters.

I apologize for this week being so short.  I was gone on Wednesday for a root canal and we didn't have preschool on that Friday.
