This week the Kinders stayed busy again. We learned three new sight words. One of our words was the word: the. We read the story The Itsy Bitsy Spider, sang the song and then find the word "the" in our poem. Once we found them all we drew our own itsy bitsy spider.
Sight word dot painting.
Working on one of our September door decor- owls!
This week in Science we learning about the directions of how things move as well as their speed. The three directions we learned were: up and down, round and round and back and forth.
Since we have been talking about how things move - one of our experiments was to make a sail and see if they move.
Here we are making our sails. I didn't get pictures of us experimenting with the sails. I had the blow dryer in my hands to test them.
We taped their sails to one of our little cars and then used a blow dryer to make the sail move. We had a couple that didn't move - it made our car tip over. We discussed why that happened and come up with a solution that the sail was too heavy for our car.
Doing some initial sounds work.
Putting our owls together.
Here they are!
We are having a 'hoot' in Kindergarten!
