Happy birthday to you Dr. Seuss!!

Oh the things you can think if you can only think!  Hats off to you Seuss! This past week was a short but yet fun filled week to honor a great author: Dr. Seuss.  We had a theme every day.
Monday:  Rainbow Day - to go with One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
Tuesday: Cat in the Hat Day!
Wednesday:  Wacky Wednesday and Crazy sock day!
Thursday: Pajama Day!

Here we are watercolor painting our fish bowls.

Building our Cat hats.

Our finished fish bowl projects drying.

Building fish patterns.

We did some goldfish math.  We counted, sorted and graphed our goldfish.

Our bulletin board with our Cat in the Hat hats.

Our door decor with our fish bowls.

In science we learned about clouds and types of clouds.  Here are our cloud projects finished and put up.

Writing our rhyming words on Cat's hat.  We first though of words that rhymed with Cat and Hat.

Our hats all finished!

One of our many Dr. Seuss crafts we did.  We blew blue paint for Thing 1 and Thing 2's hair.

In Math we started our measuring unit.  We have been learning to measure with nonstandard units such as using cubes.  We had a fun math day and measured with gummy worms!!

On Tuesday - Cat in the Hat day, we read the story Green Eggs and Ham.  You can not read the story without trying green eggs and ham - so we did! :)

I got a thumbs up from all of them!

After eating and watching the cartoon of Green Eggs and Ham we had to decide if you liked them or not. As you can see - we all liked them!

Working on some rhyming words.

Our Thing 1 and Thing 2's project finished.

Our directed drawing of Cat in the Hat.  They had to do their best drawing and copy the cat that I had posted up.  They all did a great job.  I wasn't able to post all of the pictures of the finished project - so be on the look out next week to see them finished!

Working with our partners on measuring.
