Hip Hip Hooray - it's our 100th day!!! We made it!!! :)
Here are some of the activities that we did during the week and of course on our 100th day!
We learned about consonant blends this past week. We are putting our bl- blends into the blender!
Putting 10 dots on each one of our 10 strips to add to our 100th day hat!
The 100th day hats!
Dot painting out sight words.
Working with our amazing words and putting them into our journals!
Our 100 year old selfie!
How many licks does it take to get to the center of out tootsie pop? We had a 100th chart and crossed off a number for how many licks we had to see if we could get to the center. We learned that it takes more than 100 licks. They thought that since I am older that it will take less than 100 licks (they must think I have a big mouth). Of course - I had to see if they were right. They counted and crossed off the numbers while I attempted to finish the tootsie pop in less than 100 licks. I did not succeed.
The Kinders had some homework for out 100th day. They had to make a 100th day picture. They had to use 100 items of something and add it/make a picture out if it. They turned out AWESOME!!
Their entrance into our classroom for out 100th day!
If I had $100 what would I buy?
We counted all day by fives, ones, and tens to 100. We also found out what 100 of things look like to give us an idea of how much 100 actually is. In the Kinders words - it's a lot!
They had to think of 100 things they wished they had and 100 things they do not wish they had.
Building some CVC words with letter magnets!
