This week we celebrated Dental Health month. We learned what was healthy and not healthy for our teeth and how to care for them. The Kinders learned about the letter Ee as well as identifying short and long Ee sounds. Clouds were our focus in Science this week. It was a crazy and short week for the Kinders - due to getting our early for district games and then a snow day! :)
We are working on making our Ee's into Elephants!
Sight word poem.
Word Work.
In Science we learned about clouds. Here we described clouds!
Our Ee's on our door.
In the process of making our cloud craft. We showed the three different clouds we learned on one big cloud. We learned: cirrus, cumulus and stratus.
It is also National Dental Health month. We talked about foods that are healthy and unhealthy for our teeth, how to keep healthy and what happens when we don't. I boiled some white eggs and soaked them in Kool Aid for two days. We pretended that those were our 'teeth.' I showed them a white egg -meaning this is what our teeth looks like when we brush them and take care of them. I then pulled out a dirty egg. The dirty egg showed what it would look like if we didn't brush our teeth. We talked about how to help make those teeth healthy - we have to brush them!
Brushing our teeth!
Our tooth craft we made.
Working with our sight words. They had to roll, identify the word and then color the word with white crayon.
