Merry Christmas!!!

Wow has December come and gone!
Here is what we did during the last week before Christmas Break!
It was very busy so I am sorry ahead of time not being able to capture all those moments.
We had a theme for each day during our Christmas Week.
Monday - Gingerbread Man day
Tuesday - Polar Express Day & Pajama Day!
Wednesday - Snowy Day
Thursday - Grinch Day

Here are the Kinder elves for the elementary Christmas concert.

Here is some sight word work we did.

Sorting out our vowels.

We listed some adjectives that describe our gingerbread men.

Decorating our own gingerbread men cookies!

On Tuesday it was our Polar Express day and also PAJAMA DAY! Yes even I love pajama day!
When we came back from recess, Buddy our elf brought all the kinders a present from Santa...it was a bell from his sleigh - just like in the story!  Of course we had to ring it to make sure we could hear it.

To go with our Polar Express day - we made homemade hot chocolate! It was yummy!

We wrote some adjectives about our hot chocolate.

We also learned how to put words in ABC order.

Our presents all wrapped up to go home for our parents.

On Grinch Day we made Grinch Dust to make sure that the sneaky Grinch stays away from our houses on Christmas Eve.
To make Grinch Dust you need one cup of something sweet, two drops of joy and two drops of love.  Once it is all in your bag, you need to close it and give it lots of hugs to mix all the ingredients together.
The Grinch hates all things sweet, lovely, joyful and especially hugs! It will definitely keep him away Christmas Eve night.

Here is one of our games we played at our party.  They had to try to hook as many candy canes as they can without using their hands.   Our teacher's aide, Skylar even stayed and joined in on the fun!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  I cannot wait to see what 2017 has in store for us Kinders!
