Days are getting shorter and nights are getting longer. The air is becoming crisp and cooler. Fall is finally here, but that has not stopped the Kindergartners! They have been super duper busy these last few days. We have only been in school for 28 days and I can already see lots of growth in each and every one of them.
In math we started to learn what patterns are and how to make them. We learned AAB, ABB, ABC as well as AB patterns. They are very sharp at identifying patterns and telling you the type of pattern it is.
Here we are practicing some patterns with our blocks.
Working in our journals with our sight word: red. They colored the red pictures for our red poem and then cut out red pictures in a magazine.
Letter Mm was the letter of the week. We learned to identify Mm at the beginning and end of words. We also have been working hard at blending together CVC words.
Here they are working on sequencing with our book: If You Give a Moose a Muffin. While they are doing their paper, they are enjoying some delicious muffins!!!
Sight word poem: to
Working on identifying the number of beats in words.
We started on our fall decor for our door. They are watercoloring their leaves.
