Aa is for alligator!

This week the Kinders learned the letter Aa.  We identified words that started with the short Aa sound and also identified words that had the short Aa sound in the middle.

We read a story called Zack's Alligator.   They pointed out that both words had Aa in them!  We turned our Aa's into alligators!

We learned to write 6 & 7 this week.  We did some finger painting of our numbers.

We have been working with writing words and putting them into a sentence.  One of our sight words this week was is.  We read a story about fall and identified some of things we can do or that happens in fall.  They each thought of one word to write that reminds them of fall.  They have come so far with writing their words and are doing an AWESOME job!

In Science this week we learned about our five senses.  We went on a walk to see and listened to things, we touched different objects and identified how they felt, we also smelt different types of things that Mrs. Bartling brought in and also tasted something sour, sweet and salty.

Here is some of our journal work that we did for science.

We worked more with our nouns again this week.  We talked about how you can add an -s to the end of a word and it makes it to be more than one.  They each had to think of a noun to draw in their journal.  One side was one noun and the other one had that magic Ss to change it into more!
